European Heritage Days are an initiative of the Council of Europe supported by the European Union. In Wales European Heritage Days are organised on behalf of Cadw and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Mae Dyddiau Treftadaeth Ewropeaidd yn fenter gan Gyngor Ewrop sy'n cael ei gefnogi gan yr Undeb Ewropeaidd. Yng Nghymru trefnir Dyddiau Treftadeth Ewropeaidd ar ran Cadw a'r Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru.

Open Doors days offer free access to properties of historic and architectural importance. Taking place across three September weekends they are part of the wider European Heritage Days programme. There are separate programmes in Scotland, Northern Ireland, London and England, and in the member states of the Council of Europe, which promotes Heritage Days internationally. Mae Drysau Agored yn cynnig mynediad am ddim i eiddo sydd â phwysigrwydd hanesyddol a phensaernïol. Mae’r digwyddiad yn rhan o raglen Diwrnodau Treftadaeth Ewropeaidd eang, a gaiff ei gynnal yn ystod tri phenwythnos ym mis Medi. Ceir rhaglenni ar wahân ar gyfer Yr Alban, Gogledd Iwerddon, Llundain a Lloegr, ac aelod-wladwriaethau Cyngor Ewrop, sy’n hyrwyddo Diwrnodau Treftadaeth yn rhyngwladol.
